I have been tagged by the creator of #LoggerTodd, @IGnoblin, to do a #5shotchallenge. Since I can never create an iconic IG character to live up to that level of honesty in myself, I will settle for rehashing comic covers hence, giving my followers what they want! My given subject is: “The Comics That Changed My Life” aka #TCTCML! I will do 5 pics in 5 days (or less) dealing with my given subject.
This #comicbook, a 12 issue limited series, was probably the most impactful series of my #comicreading career!
My first big #eventcomic came at the ripe old age of 11! (Stop doing the math on my age!!! I’m old and still love my comics!!)
Assembling all the greatest #Marvel #Superheroes (except #Daredevil) and the most villainous baddies (even #Klaw? - Well he served a purpose).
I seen the first interaction between #XMen and #Avengers … brrr… #SpiderMan caught up in that. Silly X-Men.
My love for #DoctorDoom began here (He never has been used properly since SW if you ask me.) And I really liked #MoleculeMan, Owen dropped a mountain rage on the #Hulk and the other heroes, powerful nerd!!!
Molecule Man inspired me to write my only attempt at #fanfiction! Read more… Next comment…
Great covers! Lots of great covers! Issue one probably one of the most iconic ever! #4 - pure awesome! Doctor Doom cover on issue #10 one of the best ever for me personally!
Then there is #Galactus -compared to what we know now about #Galactus - seems like he was misused. #cynical
Spider-man’s mind shattering costume change. #CaptainAmerica’s broken shield, #Wasp died (the first time)…
#Thing stayed behind, #SheHulk joined #FantasticFour…
Lots of superhero banter!
Brilliant Art by Mike Zeck & Bob Layton! Jim Shooter weaved a great tale for my young mind.
Of course this led to SecretWarsII - The goal of this series was to bankrupt me!!!!
The memories of #BattleWorld remain and are everlasting!

I have been tagged by the dastardly @IGnoblin to do a #5shotchallenge. I too was disappointed that this had nothing to do with alcohol. My subject matter is: “The Comics That Changed My Life” I will do 5 pics in 5 days dealing with my given subject.
The first of this series is the Hawkeye Limited Series. Which started with issue #2 for me, by the great, terribly underrated and unfortunately late Mark Gruenwald, writer/artist. The very first comic book I was ever given, the very first comic I ever read, the very first comic I ever “collected” was Hawkeye #2 because that is the comic my dad brought home to me. Why didn’t he buy me issue #1? I have no idea. I suspect alcohol was a contributing factor. hah. There was a great little drug store that was 3 blocks away from my house that would end up being my “comic shop” for the beginning of my comic reading adventure. It had 4 racks and I don’t think they ever sent comics back to the distributors. There would be months of comics on the rack. That’s why is was easy to go back the next day and score Hawkeye #1. It was the longest 30 days ever till Hawkeye #3 then #4 came out! Torture!
Till this day Clint Barton has remained my fav comic book character. His witty bravado covering up his ever growing #CaptainAmerica inferiority complex. His lover AND a fighter mentality. The fact that he is a non-super-powered character with just a “best there is at what he does” skill set. Acknowledged as #TheWorldsGreatestMarksman! His humble beginning as a circus act and brief life of crime (due to a misunderstanding #BlackWidow #IronMan) - makes him the ultimate underdog. I always love the underdog. Always. I’ve followed his exploits through the last 30 years, including his death and resurrection! (Hey! He is a Marvel character ppl!) I have began hunting back issues of late too. #TeamHawkeye! #AvengingArcher #Avengers #WestCoastAvengers #Marvel #Comics #Goliath #Ronin #SHIELD #Swordsman #Trickshot #Defenders #Thunderbolts #HouseOfM
