#FinalShot of #5shotchallenge given to me by the unflappable and courageous @ignoblin … I was given the duty to produce #5picsin5days with the theme “The Comics That Changed My Life”. This will complete that challenge.

The #WestCoastAvengers and later known as the #AvengersWestCoast (#1984 to #1993) was my #Avengers! For a mini-series, quite a few cross-overs and finally their own series spanning 102 issues. This was where my heart was. Of course my dedication to #Hawkeye drive my love for this series. The (Mighty) Avengers, well it would be awhile before I would start reading it. I was a lil depressed as I wasn’t much of an Al Milgrom fan. But these were still my characters and the stories were fun and mostly light. When John Byrne took over we seen a bit more grit to the stories. The original line up of #Mockingbird #Tigra #WonderMan #IronMan (James Rhodes) and team leader Hawkeye was a great group of B players that really have the book the underdog feel that I loved. There were other cool bigger names that served as well: #TheThing #HankPym #MoonKnight #TheWasp #ScarletWitch … Also #SpiderWoman #USAgent were memorable.

Some cool titles spun out if West Coast Avengers. #GreatLakesAvengers, Wonder Man, #SoloAvengers…

I eventually gravitated to reading the Avengers as well. I found them to indeed be mighty! As the membership was huge and seeing the bigger names join forces and #Assemble was a treat. This lead to me reading #CaptainAmerica’s title and #IronMan’s… But none of that tops my allegiance to the California based Avengers and their adventures!
